I think it likely that President Obama was aware of the "Tea Parties", but he didn't want to give them any credence or credibility, so he chose to marginalise the "Tea Parties" by pretending he was unaware of them. Later, Obama mocked and ridiculed the attendees. Mockery and ridicule are Saul Alinsky tactics straight out of Rules for Radicals. Obama is a radical, don't you know? So what was President Obama's (counter) event?

Little minds might think "every bit helps", but it might be like filling a coffee mug with water from an olympic sized pool. Sure the water level of the pool would go down, but have you really made a difference? Obama's "event" was an empty, meaningless stunt.

The political spectrum is usually thought of in a left-right, linear, one-dimension way, however that is a limited and narrow way to think. In the linear model, on one end you have the "extreme left" and on the other the "extreme right". The linear model is flawed because the "extreme right" and the "extreme left" shouldn't be at opposite ends, they should actually be at the same end with anarchy at the other end.

The political spectrum is more spacial that that a one dimensional linear model and so that is one reason why "the world's smallest political quiz" is interesting.
