Koko Crater
Seeing the shape of Koko Crater from an aerial perspective in the photograph below gave me a better appreciation and understanding of why the old Hawaiian name for Koko Crater was Kohelepelepe. The demigod Kamapua‘a attacked Pele, so to lure away the pig man, Pele's sister Kapo (also see Kapolei) detached a part of her body which flew off and left an imprint at Koko Crater.
